One of Reggie’s little obsessions after he came home was Sudoku.

It is twenty years later as I write this, and I don’t know whether Sudoku is still as popular as it was then, but Reggie loved it. Most mornings, after Dad finally finished reading The Guardian, Reggie would grab the puzzle section and settle in to do the Sudoku.

People used to joke about how addictive Sudoku could be. Given Reggie’s personality, perhaps it was inevitable that he would become hooked on that too.

But this was one addiction we were quite happy to see.
