Doves were not a common sight in Souris, so it seemed particularly unusual when a dove appeared outside the home of Reggie’s former wife and their two children on the day his remains were found.

The dove perched outside the house and remained there for hours. It finally left when Reggie’s former wife and the children left the house to go into Souris.

What made its appearance especially memorable to our family was something that had happened only days earlier.

During the Ouija-board session, we had asked whether Reggie would try to contact his family. The answer was “Yes.”

When we asked how he would contact his children, the answer was “A bird.”

“What kind of bird?”

“Dove.”
